Imbue Sustainability — a clearer, stronger service structure
How our partnership with Solid Green evolved, what each business now delivers, and the platforms behind our performance reporting.
In 2025, Imbue Sustainability entered a new chapter. To better support our clients, we refined our focus to expand our solar and renewable-energy offering, alongside our utility optimisation services. This shift came alongside a natural evolution in our longstanding partnership with Solid Green Consulting.
After many successful years collaborating on green building projects, our founder, Simon Penso, helped Solid Green establish a dedicated division focused on Existing Building Performance. Simon now leads this division as a Director at Solid Green while continuing to head Imbue Sustainability. To strengthen delivery across both businesses, Danika Taylor, a key member of the Imbue team for over five years, has joined Solid Green as a Senior Sustainability Consultant and remains an important link between the two organisations.
So who does what?
All green building and certification work is now delivered through Solid Green, including:
- Green Star Existing Building Performance (EBP)
- Green Star New Build certifications
- EDGE ratings
This allows Imbue Sustainability to focus on what we do best: renewable-energy solutions, utility optimisation, and high-quality performance monitoring.
A sharper renewable-energy offering
With this renewed focus, we've enhanced our solar and broader renewable-energy services for both new developments and existing buildings. We continue to support clients through the full project lifecycle — feasibility, design, installation, maintenance, and continuous monitoring.
Where certifications like Green Star or EDGE form part of the brief, we work seamlessly with Solid Green to deliver a cohesive end-to-end service.
Introducing the Cillar platform
A major milestone in 2025 was the development of Cillar, our proprietary platform for real-time building and portfolio performance monitoring. Cillar consolidates utility, metering, renewable, and building-system data into simple, actionable insights — giving teams a clear picture of how assets are performing without relying on assumptions or confusing spreadsheets.
It's easy to use, requires no upfront capex, aligns with green building frameworks, and rapidly builds a 12-month baseline to help identify inefficiencies and quantify sustainability improvements.
Performance reporting for solar clients
Our solar clients also benefit from the Imbue Portal, which provides in-depth, ongoing reporting on solar asset performance.
Together, Cillar and the Imbue Portal give technical teams, managers, and decision makers a shared, evidence-based view of sustainability performance across their portfolios.

Even as the business has grown and evolved, our mission is unchanged: to improve the environmental performance of properties in a way that delivers real, measurable — including financial — returns.
